Elaine
has been with the firm since
July of 1997. She graduated
magna cum laude from Central
Missouri State University
in 1991 (with B.S. degrees
in Business Administration
(General Management and Personnel
Administration), scored in
the 98th percentile on the
Law School Admission Test,
and was awarded a scholarship
to the University of Missouri
Law School. However, she decided
to accept employment in the
computer software field, instead
of attending law school, but
ultimately returned to the
legal arena and obtained her
post-graduate paralegal certification
in 1997 from Midlands Technical
College in Columbia, South
Carolina.
Elaine
works closely with the lawyers
in the firm, assisting them
with the design, preparation
and implementation of estate
plans, corporations, limited
liability companies and family
limited partnerships. She
also supervises client signing
conferences and PEPR
(Personal Estate Plan Review)
meetings with clients. Elaine
is married to Mike Asmus,
a Communications Officer with
the Missouri Senate, and has
two beautiful stepdaughters,
Stephanie and Emily. The newest
addition to the Asmus family
is Clark - a puppy who has
won the hearts of all of the
staff people.
